How to assess your client's character

The more you know your client’s character the better able you’ll relate to them, and the DISC system is simple and accurate way of doing that. Ideally, you’ll get your Client to complete the 10-minute online questionnaire and out will come a report that spells it out. Clients love doing these because let’s face it our favourite subject is ourselves…Ask if you want the link?  

But if that isn’t feasible there are quick indicators that you can rely on by simply speaking with them. e.g. high in these can be spotted by observing their behaviour: 

  • Dominant = Talkative – pushy – quick  

  • Influential = Charming – friendly – personable  

  • Supportive = Steady – thoughtful – questioning  

  • Compliant = Cautious – process driven – thorough 

And each type can be dealt with differently to get the best from them.
