Govt Funded SME Systems
‘We all know that technology can boost business performance, but did you know just how much of a difference it can make?’
You probably know of this government initiative where small businesses can apply for a (up to) £5K grant that pays 50% of the cost of installing systems.
The following is from their marketing (and I agree with it)…
18%
The average improvement in sales per employee over three years for firms that use a CRM system
25%
The average productivity benefit for companies using two or more business organisation technologies, such as project management software
12%
The average improvement in sales per employee over three years for businesses that use a digital accounting system
But what I don’t agree with is:
The cost – the best systems are already only a few pounds per month, or even free
The best providers are not even part of the programme
The money goes on installation consultancy fees, but all these are easy to self-install
I applaud the effort in getting small businesses to use more systems, but this is not the way to do it.
You as an accountant can do it profitably as a service to your clients with Runagood®, it’ll cost them a lot less and they get access to the whole range of business systems, 14 in all.
