Consultant Personality Types
Dear Accountant,
For the purposes of relating successfully to business owners, there are broadly, 4 types to bear in mind who are easily spotted using DISC profiling. Then you can adapt your behaviour to give them what you want in the way that they want to hear it.
E.g. if proposing a course of action to a:
High D. Cut to the chase with facts, and fight your corner.
High I. Make friends first.
High C. Explain precisely how it works.
High S. Reassure, provide evidence.
If you’d like more information on DISC personality profiling or would like a free assessment carried out on yourself, give us a call here.
In my next post I’ll show you how to get a business owner’s attention and interest by showing them how they are doing.
With kind regards from
Duncan
